Preamble
Kommt eine Peilsonde in den Tanks zum Einsatz, egal ob die Peilsonde über den Tankautomaten oder direkt als Tankautomat in Autopoll abgerufen werden soll, muss eine Peiltabelle angelegt und danach bei den betroffenen Tanks als "Tanktyp" eingestellt werden. Bei einigen Tankautomaten gibt es vorkonfektionierte Peiltabellen. Die Meisten sind in Autopoll bereits vorgegeben. Bei diesen vorkonfektionierten Peiltabellen werden keine Messpunkte an den Tankautomaten übergeben, sondern nur der definierte Buchstabe bzw. die definierte Zahl.

Tank type administration
Master files
Desc.: Name of the probe table/tank type. It is recommended to use the name and the volume of the used tank in which the probe is being installed.
Type: The defined letter or defined number when using an at the card reader pre-defined probe table/tank type. 0 when using a probe table/tank type with manually recorded gauging points.
Gauging points: Selection of the number of gauging points. There is no need to record gauging points when pre-defined probe tables/tank types are being used.

The ASCII textfile has the same format/structure for the import and export:
- one row per gauging point
- the values in the import file have to be in increasing order
- value "mm" followed by a blank followed by the value "Liters"
Gauging points
In der Regel gibt es zum Tank eine Peiltabelle. In dieser sind ca. 200-250 Messpunkte katalogisiert. Diese Werte geben auf der einen Seite die Höhe der Flüssigkeit in mm oder cm an und auf der anderen Seite das dazu gehörende Volumen. Je nachdem ob 32 oder 64 Werte in den Stammdaten ausgewählt wurde, wird die entsprechende Anzahl an Messwerten aus dieser Peiltabelle entnommen und in Autopoll eingepflegt. Es wird empfohlen einen Querschnitt der gesamten Peiltabelle heranzuziehen, d.h. nicht nur Werte ganz am Anfang oder ganz am Ende, sondern über alle Werte hinweg Messpunkte auszuwählen.
