Die Datensicherung läuft gewöhnlich in 3 Schritten ab:  
The backup process includes three steps:  
* Step 1: Durch den Start der Autopoll Datensicherung wird dem Firebird Datenbankserver mitgeteillt, dass dieser aus der Autopoll Datenbank (APVx.GDB) eine transaktionssichere Datensicherungsdatei (APVx.GBK) erzeugt, die neben der Autopoll Datenbank abgelegt wird.  
* Step 1: By starting the Autopoll backup the firebird database server will create out of the Autopoll database file (APVx.GDB) a transaction secure firebird backup file of the Autopoll database (APVx.GBK), which is being stored beside the Autopoll database.

* Wenn bei einer Datensicherung Fehler auftreten, dann empfiehlt es sich eine Datenbank Reorganisation vorzunehmen. Bei einer Datenbank Reorganisation wird die Autopoll Datenbank gesichert und anschließend wieder rückgesichert. Kleinere Datenbank Beschädigungen können dadurch oft behoben werden. Sollte die Datenbank Reorganisation nicht erfolgreich sein, dann umgehend (ohne weitere Aktivitäten) Kontakt mit der Autopoll-Hotline aufnehmen.

Datensicherungen belegen Platz auf der Festplatte. Um Platz zu schaffen sollten regelmäßig alte Datensicherungen gelöscht werden. Dazu kann diese Autopoll Funktion genutzt werden.
Autopoll backups need disc space on the hard disc. On a regularly base old Autopoll backups should be deleted to get back disc space. This Autopoll function can be used to do this.

Preamble

An Autopoll backup file (ZIP) should not be stored/saved on the same hard disc nor on the same computer as the Autopoll database !
